UTA makes the most of four high performance materials which are UHMWPE, Cordura, Ceramic and Impact Pad. Based on each material’s properties, UTA combines them to maximize their effectiveness and extend four major application scenarios: soft armor, hard armor extreme sports and armored tank.
UHMWPE
Ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) is a very tough plastic material with high abrasion resistance and toughness. The feature of its light weight enables the material to float on the surface of water without water absorption which is suitable for application in armament products. UTA uses UHMWPE as a multi-layer combination for different levels of protection such as bulletproof vests, protective helmets, shields and other military products.
Cordura
Cordura is a high-strength and abrasion-resistant nylon fabric with excellent tear resistance. It is widely used in outdoor related supplies and protective products.
Impact Pad
The impact pad which is made of honeycomb structure can effectively alleviate the impact force. Besides the function of safety, it also has the feature of breathability and the comfort of wearing.
SiC Ceramic
The combustion crystallized silicon carbide can be made into hard ceramic silicon carbide particles with hard property. This material is used in bulletproof vests, electronic components and other high durability products.
